Creating a profile to Log a new job
Logging a new job for a new incoming email is one of the most common things that you will want to achieve with the Email Manager.
To add an action to (updating) an existing HelpMaster job, see Creating a profile to update an EXISTING job.
To convert an email into a new job, create a new Email Manager profile by clicking “New” on the main Email Manager Profiles screen.
Select which email folders to scan for this profile
On the Email Processing tab, select Create New Job, and click Next.
Ordering is important
Generally, a “New job” profile should be ordered after any “Update job” profiles. This ordering sequence is important, because you do not want to create a new job from an email that is really a reply to an existing job. By ordering the new job profile after the update profiles, jobs will be updated and created in the correct sequence.
After you have created a new profile, remember to order it in the correct sequence.
