Create, Modify, Move or Delete an Issue

Create a New Issue

Creating a new classification code is performed via the Classification Hierarchy administration screen.

  1. Open the classification hierarchy viewer by using the Administration > Classification Viewer button
  2. Select the node you wish the new issue to appear under.
  3. Click on New.  This will open the Add New Node screen.
  4. Enter the new issue into the text box.
  5. Click on OK.

The new classification node has been added below the node you had selected.

Modify an Issue

Modifying a issue is performed from the Issue Viewer which can be found on the Master toolbar, with the Issue viewer option in the Go menu located on the Standard toolbar, or by holding down the Ctrl key while entering Y.

  1. Open the Issue Viewer.
  2. Select the Issue you wish to modify.
  3. Click on the Update button.  This will open the Edit nodes name screen.
  4. Alter the name of the Issue as required.
  5. Click on OK.

Your Issue has been successfully modified.

Move an Issue

  1. Open the Issue Viewer
  2. Select the Issue you wish to move.
  3. Hold the left mouse button and drag the Issue to the new location.
  4. Release the mouse button.

Your classification code has been moved to the new location.

Delete an Issue

Deleting an issue is to remove it from your HelpMaster environment so that it may no longer be applied to a job.  Deleting issues is done from the Issue Viewer which can be found on the Master toolbar, with the Issue viewer option in the Go menu located on the Standard toolbar, or by holding down the Ctrl key while entering Y.

  1. Open the Issue Viewer.
  2. Select the issue you wish to remove.
  3. Click on the Delete button.
  4. Click on OK in the message box which will appear.

The issue has been removed from the Issue tree and is no longer available.
