Microsoft SQL Server Express
Microsoft SQL Server Express is a good option for smaller installations of HelpMaster. See the scale limits of each version here
If using Microsoft SQL Server Express, ensure that you use the “SQL Server Express with Advanced Services” download. This allows you to install the “Full Text Search” engine that HelpMaster can use for better searching.

Once you run the initial installer application, you will see this screen. Choose either the “Custom” or the “Download Media” option to be able to install/download the “Full Text Searching” option.
Choose “Express Advanced” option that includes the Full Text Services feature option.
During the installation process you will be able to install the Full-Text feature by selecting the appropriate checkbox.
Once you have installed the Full Text Services feature, you can then configure the full text searching.
