If you have just downloaded HelpMaster and are wondering how to approach an evaluation of the software, then this guide is for you.

If at anytime you require assistance or have a question, please do not hesitate to reach out to PRD Software and we will be happy to help. We can answer questions, help you configure things, and do product and feature demonstrations for you and your team.

Here’s the basic roadmap to evaluating HelpMaster

1. Installation of Desktop and Web Portal

HelpMaster is a product suite that includes both a Windows Desktop application as well as a Web Portal for day-to-day use. For automation features, several Windows Services are also used to perform automation tasks. To install HelpMaster, please refer to the Installation documentation, and please reach out to PRD Software if you would like assistance with this.

2. Logon to the Sample Database

Logon to the sample database to explore features and get a feel for the product, or skip this step and move straight to step 4 below to start configuring a blank database for your live trial.

3. Start exploring the features and basic concepts

Work through the Basic Concepts page to explore HelpMaster features

4. Start configuring a blank database for a “live trial”

If you like the look of the sample database and the feature set of HelpMaster, create a blank database and start configuring it for a “live evaluation” with your configuration. Follow the steps in the Quick Start Configuration Guide
