Sample database

The HelpMaster Database and Reports Wizard can quickly create a demo/evaluation database for you. This database is populated with lots of sample data for the fictitious company “Wizbang Widgets”. This is a great way to explore the functionality of HelpMaster and experiment with different configurations and test data. Use the demo/sample database to explore ideas, concepts, template design, workflow processes and more. Copy/transfer/re-implement good ideas into your live/production database.

Only “staff” accounts can log into the desktop edition of HelpMaster. “Clients”, can only use the web portal.

Logging onto the sample database

Use one of the following logon types/accounts to access the sample database.

Global administrator account

The global administrator account has total access to all features and screens.

Password: password

Staff Accounts

Staff accounts are logins that are assigned to a Skillgroup, and can be assigned jobs, tickets and requests. These are the helpdesk “agents”, “technicians”, or “queue-holders”. By default, staff members can see their jobs, as well as the jobs that have been assigned to their Skillgroup(s).

Client Accounts (used for web login only)

Client accounts are general “customer” accounts that can log tickets. These are the people that are supported by the helpdesk/service desk or business by one of the “Staff” members listed above. When clients login to HelpMaster, they have a limited scope and visibility into tickets and functionality. They have the ability to log, track and update their own jobs (or those of their site), use the Knowledge Base and News.
